The renewed utilization base corresponding to international standards was opened today in Dedoplistkskaro. The base will increase the current utilization performance in the future. The Deputy Minister of Defense Giorgi Khaindrava, General Director of State Military Scientific and Technical Center “Delta” Ioseb Loladze, the US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly C. Degnan and Director of Slovenian International Organization ITF Tomaž Lovrenčič inspected the completed infrastructure projects at the base and got acquainted with the working process.
Within the framework of the project – “Physical Security and Stockpile Management and Conventional Weapons Destruction in Georgia”, the utilization base was built at the request of the international company ITF, with the support and financing of the USA. It is planned to manufacture high-performance equipment/machinery at the base by “Delta”, as well as safe utilization/demilitarization of expired, decommissioned munitions.
In 2021, the Ministry of Defense signed a memorandum of understanding with the Human Security Strengthening Trust Fund (ITF) of the Republic of Slovenia, which aimed to partner in the demilitarization of munitions that have expired, are unusable for their primary purpose, and have been written off by the relevant authority.

18 students of public school of Shindisi village of Gori municipality visited State Military Scientific-Technical Center "Delta". During the visit, students got acquainted with the activities of the center. They visited the facility, got acquainted with the military equipment and weapons produced by Center Delta. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions that were interesting to them. It should be noted that within the framework of the mentioned project, Center Delta often hosts pupils and students of various schools in order to raise awareness and popularize our activities among the younger generation. At the end of the visit, the students were presented with branded accessories of the center.
The State Military Scientific and Technical Center "Delta" was visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey and military attachés in Georgia. The guests got acquainted with the specifics of the organization and attended the work process in the enterprises. At the official meeting, General Director of "Delta" Center Ioseb Loladze and Ambassador Ali Kaan Orbai discussed various issues and expressed their desire to cooperate in several directions.
