LEPL Scientific and Technical Institute  “Optika”

A legal entity under public law – scientific-research institution – Institute “Optika” (hereinafter – the Institute) carries out scientific-research, consulting, expert and entrepreneurial activities.
The state control of the institute is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (hereinafter – the Ministry).
The Institute was created on the basis of the Scientific Research Institute “Optik” of the Department of Science and Technology of Georgia according to the Resolution No. 58 of March 16, 2006 of the Government of Georgia “On the Establishment of State Scientific Research Institutions as Public Law Legal Persons”.
The institute is independent in its activities. It is guided by the Constitution of Georgia, international treaties and agreements of Georgia, laws “On Science, Technology and Their Development” and “On Public Law Legal Entity”, other normative acts and this charter.
The institute has an independent balance sheet, bank account, stamp and other requisites of a legal entity.
Institute’s goals and objectives

The purpose of the institute is:
a) implementation of scientific-research, consulting, expert and activities;

b) promotion of scientific and technological progress of the country;

c) all-round support for the country’s scientific activities;

d) creation, analysis and distribution of new technologies;

e) development of international scientific cooperation;

f) encouraging the mobility of the institute’s scientific staff;

g) participation in training and retraining of new scientific personnel.

2. The institute is authorized to carry out supporting economic activities related to scientific and research activities, including design and technological activities, in accordance with the law.
