Institute of Micro and Nanoelectronics
JSC “Institute of Micro and Nanoelectronics” carries out scientific-research, consulting and expert activities. The institute is independent in its activities. Its state control is carried out by the State Military Scientific and Technical Center “Delta”. The Institute is guided by the Constitution of Georgia, international treaties and agreements of Georgia, “On Science, Technology and Their Development”, “On Public Law Legal Entity” laws of Georgia, other normative acts and the charter of the Institute of Micro and Nanoelectronics. The institute has an independent balance sheet, bank account, seal and other requisites of a legal entity under public law.
The purpose of the institute is to carry out scientific-research, consulting and expert activities;
promotion of scientific and technological progress of the country;
creation, analysis and dissemination of new technologies;
development of international scientific cooperation;
encouraging the mobility of the institute’s scientific staff;
Participation in training and retraining of new scientific personnel.
Main directions of current activity:
Research of nanoscale semiconductor structures required for near- and medium-wave infrared photodetector technologies;
Development of the technology of metals and semiconducting thin-film oxides required for the production of high-speed radiation-induced circuits for special purpose systems.
